Tony and his wife Helene Bowall are the Happy Artists and, for over six years, have taken part each year in the Brighton and Hove Artists' Open House festival by opening their home, the Happy House, to the public. Due to the increased popularity of Tony's work we have no plans to open again in the future and, instead, welcome visitors at any time of the year by appointment where you will be able to purchase any of his work and/or commission new unique work. See the contact page for details. Just give Tony a little notice (often just an hour or two is all he needs!) if you plan to visit.

The Happy House was a favourite venue with both new and regular Open House visitors who came to see and buy Tony's photography and Helene's pastels year after year.

On display this year was Tony's 'Beach Hut Portraits' series featuring, what were at the time, EVERY Beach Hut (over 460) in Hove as well as his incredibly popular Beach Huts In The Snow images, which have been featured in many publications, including The Observer.

You would have also seen many photographs from his travels, including his trips to India and Venice, as well as his legendary photographs taken on the Greek island of Santorini.

Of course there was also a selection of contemporary pastels by Helene. Helene's work complements Tony's photography perfectly. Her beautiful pastels include colourful depictions of textures, flower and human figures. We also had work from three surprise guests!

Helene has exhibited with the Lewes Artists Group and at the Claremont House Hotel in Hove, as well as at the Happy House during the Brighton festival.
